Time
To Take Attention
Our website is only going to be as good as the information
you as club members feed to us and we give you what you are
asking. Another season is upon us and a lot of work is going
into organising teams for entry into local competitions. There
are many changes and much more happening than in previous
years so please keep your eye to notices on this site, from
e mails sent to you and on the notice board outside the clubrooms.
CLUB RAFFLE
Thank you for everyone who supported this fundraiser making it far
> more successful than that of the previous season. Congratulations to
> all those who sold all their tickets and went in the draw for the $300
> prize and special congratulations to the Tigers team whose name was
> drawn out.
> A special thanks to John Wilson for his assistance with this raffle."
CLUB DAY - CLUB DAY - CLUB DAY - CLUB DAY
We are hoping to run our Club Day this season
in November but will need to apply to Canterbury Association
before we are approved and can let you know the date. We will
try to have as many teams playing at home as possible.
OUR TEAMS
Colin Sutherland with among other people Steve Cate offering
assistance.
A new grade of reserve men with Dave Dixon coaching.
The end of an era - Wayne Inwood will not be putting the
team together this season but will play and it is hoped that
the Straycats will not disappear after so many wonderful years
of this team.
Russell Kerrigan with the Wildcats (he's been coaching and
managing this team for more years than he cares to remember).
Brett Williams multi tasking with the Tigers again and helping
with many other teams.
Steve Hutchieson back again with our Cheetahs team but needing
more players to bolster this team.
A big welcome back to Carl Tuinenga to coach our premier
women with the assistance of Brent Hazeldine.Great success
last season and looking forward to more success.
Karen (Snuffy) Calder - Life Member - back again with our
reserve women who are playing in B womens grade.
Not a new team but a lot of the old brigade in the Papanui
Hooters coached by Wayne Richardson.
We are also hoping to have a new team of reserve grade women
who will consist of a very young team taking the step into
afternoon softball and also looking for someone to take on
the reigns of coaching this team.
Currently we are organising the coaches and teams of juniors
so once we have these set in place will add to this.
